Video Self Modelling

Do you use video modelling at all?  I’m going to share a few of the videos that we made for Tom over the next few weeks.

This video was made to help him learn some tricky irregular past tenses.    It is a very short video, this always worked best for us.

This video is a mixt of video modelling, Tom watching someone else do something, and self-modelling, Tom watching himself ‘getting it right.’  A lot of incorrect past tenses ended up on the cutting room floor!!

Little brother Dexter used to love getting in on the act, and they both loved watching silly bits. Still do!

This video model and others like it worked like a charm for Tom. We had wasted hours and hours trying to teach these in other ways…. should have started off with the video models…. we lived and learned.

Have you made any video models?  Do you have any tips and tricks to share with other parents?
